Step-by-Step: Making Your Blinkie

1. Pick a Blinkie Style

   Start on the left side of the blinkie maker under Select a Style. Scroll through the available retro blinkie styles and click one to select it. The selected style becomes the base for your blinkie.

   Tip: Shorter text usually looks best with most blinkie styles.

2. Enter Your Text

   In the Text field, type the words you want to appear on your blinkie. Keep your message short so it fits comfortably within the design.

3. Choose a Font

   Use the Font dropdown to select the font style for your blinkie text. Simple fonts are easier to read at small sizes, while decorative fonts add personality.

4. Adjust the Font Size

   Select a size using the Font Size dropdown. Smaller sizes work best for longer text, while larger sizes are ideal for short names or single words.

5. Pick a Text Color

   Choose a color using the Text Color option. High-contrast colors help your text stand out against the blinkie background and enhance the classic retro look.

6. Set Text Alignment

   Use the Text Align setting to control how your text is positioned. Center alignment is the most common, but other alignments may work better with certain styles.

7. Optional Text Styling

   If available, you can enable Bold or Italic text styles. These options can add emphasis, but should be used sparingly to keep text readable.

8. Preview and Customize

   The Preview and Customize area shows how your blinkie will look as you adjust settings. Use the preview to fine-tune your text, font, size, and color before downloading.

9. Download Your Blinkie

   When you’re happy with your design, click Download Blinkie. Your blinkie will be saved as an animated GIF, ready to use on websites, blogs, or profile pages.
